Santa is coming!!!!

Things have been relatively slow on the neighborhood issues front, but rest assured that there are many committed residents that continually look out for the interests of the neighborhood, be it reporting illegal dumping or protecting our interests at City Hall. I just wanted to take a moment to say thanks to all those who contribute their time, talent and treasure for our community, Valley View Acres is a better place because of your commitment.

In any event, it's amazing how quickly time goes by, and Christmas is right around the corner. Which means that Santa's tour of N. Natomas is near. Santa is scheduled to visit Valley View Acres on Friday, December 19th at approximately 7:20pm at the corner of Barros and Tunis.

November Meeting

Hello all, our neighborhood meeting is this Wednesday at 630pm. We'll be meeting at my place at 5625 E. Levee Road. Hope to see you there. Thanks!

September Meeting

Hello all, this month's meeting will be held at the Angel residence at 5600 Sorento Road. We'll have a representative from Assembly member Roger Dickenson's office as well as supporters of the Yes on Measure L campaign (strong mayor). We'll begin at 6:30pm and the meeting will be no longer that 1 hour.  Hope to see you on Wednesday!

August Meeting

This month's neighborhood meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 20th. We'll be getting together at the Santos home at 721 Barros Drive at 630pm and the meeting will be about 1 hour. Among other items for discussion, the League of Women Voters will be in attendance to discuss the "Strong Mayor" initiative on this November's ballot. Hope to see you there!

Illegal Dumping

Illegal dumping is a crime and a blight on our neighborhoods.  If you see a pile in the street - don't wait - report it.  Call 311 or (916) 264-5011 or the use the free Sac311 App for iPhone or Android.  The faster it is reported, the sooner enforcement and removal can begin. Provide an accurate location with an address, or cross street nearest the pile.

 

If you witness dumping in progress - note the license plate, vehicle make and model and description of individuals involved in the dumping.  Immediately call 311 to file a report.

National Night Out

Tuesday, August 5, 2014 is National Night Out. Dennis Boyd will be hosting VVA's Third Annual National Night Out BBQ Potluck at his home located at 5610 Sorento Road from 630pm'ish -whenever. Hope to see you there.  Thanks Dennis!!
