This weekend I received a couple requests to add the
effects of the current drought and state groundwater regulation to VVA
wells on this months agenda, which we're going to do, as groundwater is
essential to our community in many respects, including domestic and
agricultural use.
Given that this Wednesday's agenda is jam packed, which is necessarily going to curb the amount of time we can spend on a particular topic, I am also going to follow up with the County Department of Water Resources, which is the government agency that oversees groundwater wells and groundwater use in Sacramento County, and request a representative attend our May meeting so that we can have an expert in the area address questions and concerns of neighbors. Given its importance to all of us, we'll plan on dedicating a majority of the May meeting time on this issue.
Thanks to
those who chimed in. We all choose to live in a very special and
diverse community and its heartening to know that despite our
differences we all care very much about living here together!Given that this Wednesday's agenda is jam packed, which is necessarily going to curb the amount of time we can spend on a particular topic, I am also going to follow up with the County Department of Water Resources, which is the government agency that oversees groundwater wells and groundwater use in Sacramento County, and request a representative attend our May meeting so that we can have an expert in the area address questions and concerns of neighbors. Looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday.
